How does the MetaMoreFore work?

The basic MetaMoreFore works on a similar principle as Manual Method #7 (as shown in the below image – source: suddenlink

However, rather than using your index finger (at the top) on the inside of the skin tube, you use the Tensioning Plug (small white “stopper” type thing on the left in the below picture).

And rather than using your thumb and other index finger to keep the tension on the inserted index finger (with the MMF, this finger is replaced with the Tensioning Plug), you use the Top End Ring (top white ring in above picture).

Tension in Manual Method #7 is applied by PULLING both the inserted index finger of the one hand as well as the other index finger and thumb of the other hand AWAY from the body.  In the MMF, this tension is applied by having a variety of Set Rings (blue rings in the above picture) initially installed and then spreading these Set Rings apart (thereby increasing forward as well as back tension) by sliding into place various Expansion Rings (green rings in the the above picture).

Below is a cartoon that I hope helps people understand how the MetaMoreFore works.  It shows that extra tension that is applied to the skin tube when Expansion Rings (green) are installed.  Using a Strapping Ring (and strapping to waist or knee) provides more tension, but away from the body.

Additional components of MMF system (show in detail here  The Components of the MMF System linked) are:

  • Strapping Ring
  • DILEd Ring
  • Glans Cap
  • Wedges
  • Extreme Tensioning Ring
  • Weighted Rings (various)

Please see How to Install the MMF (linked) for more information that will help clarify how the MMF works.
